ABOUT US

Project Inquisitive is a student-led organization that focuses on providing teachers and students with free science resources and opportunities. As many school districts do not have the facilities to provide science enrichment to their students, children are left with no path of developing their interest in science. Moreover, for many children, PowerPoint presentations, textbook work, and notes will not nurture their curiosity. This organization was founded with the intent of

introducing kids to science in a manner that is fascinating; taking science beyond the bounds of the textbook! Children are naturally inquisitive, asking questions like how and why at an extremely young age! However, inadequate funding in schools does not allow for that curiosity to be fostered. The lack of resources and opportunity leaves kids saying science is "boring" or "irrelevant". This platform provides teachers and students with engaging diagrams, science experiments, animations, and more that make textbook science interesting again! We also hope to teach children about the everyday applications of science that they might not notice!

"A 'leaky STEM pipeline' – in which factors such as lower expectations, discrimination, and a lack of interest make it less likely that racial or ethnic minorities, women or those from low-income families will pursue STEM careers – makes many adults less likely to be employed in these types of positions."

"Students recognized that science was important but many were unable to see how it affected them."
